I am not the best when it comes to RTS games, but Ancestor Legacy really did impress me. I really cannot think of anything bad to say about the presentation at all. I really was very impressed with how polished the whole game looked. I was very impressed with how polished everything looks and the game has these really cool dynamic camera angles that swoop in and show off how good everything in the game looks. One reason that is so good is the presentation. I already spoke very highly of the game's campaign. It really has a nice amount of strategy to it, without making things a real chore and that is something that I really do appreciate. I have a feeling that hardcore RTS fans might find things a little simplistic here, but I actually think that works in the games favor, to be honest with you.Īs well as sending troops out to battle, you need to also think about their morale and them getting leveled up at a good rate. However, I never once felt overwhelmed by this and the game does have a kind of rock, paper, scissors thing going on with it in terms of the battles.īase building is pretty straightforward and the game then it will have you take over various villages in order to get resources that you can use for battle. There is a fair bit of strategy here and the game gives you plenty of different units to make use of. I am not the best RTS gamer in the world, but I had no trouble getting to grips with what the game required from me. So much so that the game does always keep you on your toes.

There truly is a lot of fun and interesting things that you have to do in Ancestor Legacy. Another will be more “political” and require you to make the right decisions. One mission might forgo any kind of bass building and be all about the battle. Actually, I was always wondering what the game was going to throw my way next. I must admit that I was not actually expecting much when it came to the campaign, but this is one of the most enjoyable I have encountered in an RTS in years! There are 30 missions for you to play through and there is some fantastic variety to the missions here.
