They all talked about how their characters grew and changed over the years. None of them expected the show to last as long or grow as big as it did. It was fun getting their insights into the show and as expected they were all a little sad to see it come to an end but were excited about the upcoming season.

The episode was fun and exciting and the ponies grow to another level in the show we saw.Īfter the screening the panel discussion included the talented women behind the ponies, Ashleigh (Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack), Kathy Weseluck (Spike), Nicole Oliver (Princess Celestia), and Meghan McCarthy (Producer/Writer). Meanwhile, an ancient villain bands together a legion of nefarious characters to conquer all of Equestria, challenging Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the Mane 6 to step in and save the day. The season premiere is titled "The Beginning of the End," and in this episode Princess Celestia and Princess Luna decide to retire and hand off the ruling of Equestria to Twilight Sparkle and her friends, which sends Twilight into a tailspin of self-doubt. The screening included the season premiere and first two episodes of the final season (a two-parter). Prior to the screening Steve Davis of Hasbro welcomed everybody and teased that there was more coming from the My Little Pony Universe which we would hear about over the coming months (this definitely got a 👍🏻 thumbs up from Katherine). Katherine, is a big fan of the series and was sad to hear this will be its last season but she loved attending the screening and getting to have a final movie screening party to say good bye.īefore the screening there were lots of treats which we enjoyed immensely and got several pictures with Pony Cutouts. The screening was followed by an panel discussion with the talented actresses who made this show happen for the last 9 years.

Last weekend Macaroni Kid attended a sneak preview screening of the 9th and final season of “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,” and since my daughter, Katherine (age 8) is a HUGE fan it was the perfect chance for a daddy and daughter date night.
